When Life gives you Lemons

Lemonade that is what you are supposed to make when life gives you lemons. I haven't made lemonade yet. Maybe it is because I feel like I have been spinning plates, trying to keep the several aspects of life going that don't stop for anything. The farm life certainly does not stop. Whilst I was away in England, a few months ago, to say goodbye to my precious Mum, two new baby goats were born on the farm. The day I called the ambulance as my husband was rushed to the ER department, just a couple of weeks ago, our little surprise baby goat Eleanor was born.
They say that when you have a business an important aspect is the social media, the advertising, the posts, but what they don't tell you is how to keep that all going when you are at a loss for words. When your Mum, your closest friend, is no longer just a phone call away. When your husband, your right-hand man, the love of your life is taken by ambulance to the hospital. When the new normal is waiting for more information, no work, no strenuous activity.... and yet the farm still keeps going, the business keeps growing, and the kids..... (of the humankind) well they just keep eating! You see, we are never truly sure what is going on in someone else's world.

I've been quite quiet on the blog here lately for obvious reasons. My heart is heavy and yet the goats still need to be milked, the calves still need their bottles (well actually I think they could be weaned right now, but I don't have the heart to listen to them bellow!), and the children they still need their loving.

I guess, all this to say, 'please be patient with me as we navigate this new 'normal''. As we give our hearts time to heal, as we try to catch back up with the everyday running of the farm, the business, and the household.
I love what I do, I love my family, I love the beautiful places you see in the photos from my trips back home to England. I love this crazy farm life we call our own, just some days seem to carry a little extra weight than others, and that's when I stop and remind myself of all the promises: 'Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.' Matthew 11v28-30
